You may already know my opinion about the importance of the logo and typography of the restaurant. And if you don’t, lemme briefly remind that – I think that it’s an effective tool for restaurants to create, describe and for the audience to identify a brand’s identity.
McDonalds. A fast food restaurant that serves 120 countries for 68 million customers each day. A place that’s employing more than 210,000 people. A place that has names for the different shapes of the nuggets. A place that is actually the world’s largest toy distributor.
OK, let’s imagine. You’re going around the city center, enjoying rainy weather, and a good company of friends. And then, you walk through this small bakery. What do you smell?
Menus. One of the most important things when it comes to deciding if you want to eat in one place or another. It welcomes you to the table, introduces you to the options, and reveals some information about the quality and style of each dish. Not only does it reveal the food you can eat, it’s also a good indicator that allows you to see the vibe of a restaurant.
Pizzas. Everyone likes it with different ingredients (don’t sweat, we’re not going to discuss the pineapple topic today!), but everyone loves it with a bunch of cheese.
Starbucks. The name that almost everyone heard at least once. With more than 32,000 stores all around the globe, Starbucks is the premier roaster and retailer of specialty coffee in the world. There’s no secret – this brand has something special that catches all of us.
